Description
Circa 1815. A large stylish carved gilded tryptic overmantel mirror. The moulded top with a ribbed fore edge and breakfront sections to the ends, with classic gilded balls beneath, simple frieze and three mirrors contained in a ribbed slip. Flanked by a pair of pilasters which are topped with a flower head, a ribbed section and foliate carving with fish scale pattern beneath, further mouldings. The whole piece sits on an ebonized plinth which follows the form of the mirror.
