Description
Circa 1960s. An oil on canvas by Morris Canning Wilks, with the inscription on the back ‘amongst the Connemara hills, County Galway by Morris Canning Wilks’, the painting with cottages in the fore-ground with fields and rocky walls, with the Connemara hills in the background, in a carved and gilded glazed frame, in excellent condition. Maurice Canning Wilks (1910-1984) was an Irish landscape painter.
