Description
Circa 1870, rectangular maple country house posting box. With narrow aperture to the top for posting letters, it has a hinged top and opens to a felt lined interior. There is a glass panel for viewing the contents and open dove tails to all sides. It has a simple moulding to the enclosed base and felt lining beneath.
