Description
Circa 1920, stylish mahogany dressing mirror with its original glass by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The rectangular frame is held in place by brass axe head drops on classic Whytock & Reid tapering uprights topped by turned finials. At the base of the mirror there is a scooped tray for jewellery and trinkets. The back of the mirror is polished. The whole piece stands on 4 squat cabriole legs in a trestle form. The front of the squat foot has a slight carving on it. This model occurs regularly with Whytock & Reid after a design by Sir Robert Lorimer.
