Description
Circa 1870, Rococo style cast brass and gilded fire screen. With its elaborate top handle leading on to trellis work, C scrolls and foliate casting. The freestanding frame is shaped in the form of a cartouche with a painted panel and a heraldic shield of Cambridge University attached. At the base of the cartouche the whole piece stands on curved elegant cast feet finishing on a C scroll.
