Description
Circa 1815. An unusual rare pair of Regency mahogany card tables that convert into a dining table. The pair with rounded corners in finest Cuban mahogany, the tops are hinged and open and swivel, with a small well beneath, the frieze with a foliate carving panel in the center, the tables rest on quality bulbous stems issuing four hipped saber legs with foliate carving on the knees and rondels to the side, and finish with a cast brass block with original castors beneath. There is a pair of brass clasps for locking the tops together and a small mahogany insert.
