Description
Circa 1870, a kingwood, amaranth, and marquetry petite commode in the Louise XV style, the shaped brass-banded rectangular top with quarter-veneering and banding, inlaid with a flower bouquet, above three short drawers, all with stylish cast escutcheons, with floral marquetry to all sides, raised on slender cabriole legs headed with gilt bronze mounts terminating on stylish sabots.
