Description
Circa 1840. A quality George III style mahogany shaped fold over card table. The rectangular top with bow ends and a finely carved foliate fore-edge, the top opens to reveal a felt lined interior with guinea wells and drink placements. One of the back legs is hinged and swings out to support the top when open, the deep shaped frieze conceals a full-length drawer which is oak lined, all resting on four elegant shaped cabriole legs, the front ones profusely carved on the facing with a pattern resembling a cartouche, all terminating on a ball and claw foot.
