Description
Circa 1830. A late George IV gilded and marble top console table (reduced in depth), the top with a white variegated marble with rounded corners, resting on a very stylish gilded base including the center with a swirl of gilded foliate carving, including extended C scrolls which continue along the front, resting on a pair of exuberant cabriole legs, with curled carvings on tops of the knees swirling gilded quarter blocks, the bottom with foliate carving on the facing resting on a hairy paw ball and claw foot, all supported on an octagonal gilded blocks, with great colour and patination.
