Description
Circa 1860. A mid Victorian profusely carved serpentine fronted credenza, the top in the fine book matched burr walnut with a simple fore-edge and profusely double carve frieze including patterns and foliate carving, the front with a pair of shaped mirror doors with proud carved beading, the ends with a pair of serpentine glazed doors, the doors are intersected by carved plasters which include the head of a knight with foliate carved and pierced sides finishing with a scrolling section, all resting on an enclosed carved base with foliate carving on the top and a shaped apron beneath.
