Description
A dated 19th century Victorian figured walnut and burr walnut document box. The exhibition quality box has a carved and shaped lid with a large oval burr walnut centre panel with brass inlaid plaque, the bombe shaped sides, with the shallow interior lined in green baize, with a working lock and key. There is a Victorian registration Kitemark on the front of the lid for ‘March 1865’.
