Circa 1815. A quality Scottish Regency mahogany breakfast table possibly by ‘William Trotter of Edinburgh’. The rectangular top in book-matched figured mahogany, with a simple moulded fore-edge, with its original gilded double clasp, resting on a polished mahogany block, resting on a turned and ring turned stem, Issuing four elegant low slung hipped and ribbed saber legs with foliate carving on the top with reeding and tapering finishing with a cast brass toe with the original castors beneath. Provenance by repute, ‘Wedderburn House by Duns’.
