Description
Circa 1860. A mid Victorian walnut Wellington chest, probably by’ John Taylor of Edinburgh’, the top in mellow grained walnut with moulded fore-edge and stylish frieze, the front with five full-length drawers all with finest walnut with turned knob handles, the insides all lined in Ash, the drawers are flanked by a pair of pilasters, the one on the right side is hinged and lockable, with the original key, resting on an enclosed walnut plinth.
