Description

Circa 1870, A very unusual Victorian oil lamp (recently converted to electricity) retaining its original rise and fall mechanism, supported on a fluted brass column, integrated to the lamp is an alabaster topped Canterbury. The square section of alabaster contained in a brass frame with foliate casting with a four-divisions incorporated to the pierced brass foliate shaped base, all supported on four turned and swept legs, finishing on cast turned feet, recently re-wired and cleaned.
