Description
Circa 1870. Victorian rosewood and gilt mounted bijouterie table. The shaped top with floral marquetry inlay with bevel-edge glass insert held in place by a gilded bezel with foliate casting. The glazed sides held in place with gilt metal mounts, the table resting on 4 elegant cabriole legs with metal mounts on the top, intersected by an inlaid rosewood shelf which follows the form of the top and finishing on well-cast sabots. The top is hinged with working lock.
