Circa 1830. A rare, unusual and stylish walnut framed Dutch marquetry easy chair. The shaped and curved cresting rail with floral marquetry on the facing, the upholstered arms, seat, and back, the shaped arms finishing with two well carved rondels, the panels on the sides of the chair are smothered with stylish marquetry inlay. The seat rail at the front, and the side rails also in marquetry, back legs are square and slightly out swept and front legs are turned fluted and tapering finishing on a brass cup with original brass castors beneath.
