Description
Circa 1880. A set of 12 late Victorian oak, leather and fabric upholstered chairs, the set consisting on 10 singles and 2 armchairs, the curved upholstered back with closed brass studding, with a pierced and carved section to the base, the wonderful shaped and foliate carved arms supported on scrolling uprights, the upholstered stuff over leather seats in burgundy with closed brass studding, and a reeded seat rail, the back legs are square and slightly out swept, the front legs are turned ring turned and tapering, all braced by conforming H shaped stretchers, front legs finishing with on brass and brown porcelain castors.
