Circa 1870 A clean pair of polished Scottish curling stones, of traditional form oval shape bodies polish on top and bottom with coarse facing in the center, the top with bronzed curved lifting handle with a wood insert and circular base
The island of Ailsa Craig was the original location where curling stones were made. Curling stones are made from 2 types of quartz-free granite: Blue Hone, Ailsa Craig Common Green.
