Description
Circa 1960. Pair of George 3rd style crossbanded flame mahogany serpentine fronted chests of drawers. The tops in mirror-matched flame mahogany with a crossbanding and a moulded fore-edge above a cock beaded solid mahogany brushing slide with axe handles, and four graduated crossbanded drawers with cast brass swan neck handles, engraved brass escutcheons and solid mahogany drawer linings (sign of quality cabinetmaking). All supported on neat moulded bases over shaped bracket feet.
