Description
Circa 1850. An early Victorian painted and upholstered cabriole leg stool. Provenance ex Rossi Priory, Perthshire, top covered in a zig zag pattern held in place by double piping on the shaped sides. The seat rail with foliate carving on all sides, the stool rests on four well-formed cabriole legs with foliate carving on the knees and C and S scrolls to the back of the legs coming down onto a well-formed foot with further foliate carving on the facing and sitting on four cast brass feet.
