Description
Circa 1840. Magnificent Dutch marquetry inlaid mahogany linen press. The upper section surmounted by a rectangular pediment with carved lyre and garlands over a marquetry inlaid frieze. The doors profusely inlaid with marquetry, with female figures, vases, flowers and birds. The inside of the doors also marquetry inlaid and the interior with shelves and inlaid drawers. The base with three long marquetry inlaid drawers with circular brass handles over a decorated skirt. The press sides with exceptional marquetry inlaid vases of flowers.
