Circa 1820, unusual low Biedermeier cheval mirror.  The mirror with its architectural pediment top, with a pressed ormolu centre rosette. This has foliate casting of acorns and leaves left and right. The mirror has a mahogany frame and on each corner of the frame there is a cast roundel with a flower head in the centre, and on each side is a turned and tapering column which have ormolu capitals and a small ormolu mount at the base. The mirror is held in place by a pin in the centre about half way down so that the mirror can tilt forward and backwards.
