Description
Circa 1880. A late Victorian yellow pine two-part estate cabinet. The generous moulded cornice with chamfered fore-edges, the chamfering on the fore-edges continues down from the top to the bottom. The top section with eight hinged doors each with a classic brass pull handle and a gothic style brass index plate, each of the sections when open is held in place by a brass arm. The top resting on the base with a moulded fore-edge, and a pair of cupboards below which open to reveal a single shelf, beneath this the bookcase rests on an enclosed pine plinth.
