Description
Circa 1870. An unusual mid-Victorian marble topped mahogany stand. The white variegated marble shaped top with simple foredge and mahogany frieze supported on 3 profusely carved cabriole legs with foliate quarter-blocks, carved cartouches on the knees and finishing on scrolled feet. With 2 lower shaped shelves, the top one with several circular apertures (umbrellas?), the lower has a large circular cut-out (for drip tray?). All standing on a shaped platform base and finishing on large squat bun feet.
