Description
Circa 1830. A quality solid teak William IV trunk or kist. The rectangular solid top with moulded fore-edge and a flat section beneath, the top with blacksmith made strap hinges opens to reveal an uninterrupted interior with a small lidded candle box to one side. To the front an elegant pierced escutcheon, with blacksmith made iron lifting handles to the sides, resting on a large enclosed plinth with a chamfered top.
