Description
Circa 1825. A quality mahogany brass bound folding writing box desk. The top with a brass plaque not engraved, and brass quarter brackets. Hinged and opens to reveal a sloping felt writing surface with various compartments including a pen slides. Inside one of the flaps there is a trade label for ‘Gordon & Watson of Ayr’, with a small removable brass pin on one side. Lifts out to release a drawer on the side of the piece.
