Description
Circa 1790, George III mahogany snap top occasional table. The rectangular tray top has a canted wrap around gallery with open fretwork and lifting handles on all four sides. Underneath are 2 rails and a small brass spring loaded hinge which hold the table on place onto a block. The table stands on a stained beech turned column, on 3 splayed feet which has had a lead bracket added on the underside to give stability. This is probably a Georgian tray with a later base, but has good colour and style.
