Description

Circa 1790. A very unusual stylish yew and elm child’s high chair. The shaped cresting rail and pierced splat in yew supported by turned uprights, the U shaped arms which incorporate the back the front of the arms with a small rod to secure the child. The scooped elm seat with wonderful colour, to the front an adjustable and removable shelf. The chair rests on four turned and ring turned splayed legs braced by unusual stylish turned stretchers. Wonderful colour and patination.
