Description
Circa 1850, exhibition quality, large French Empire side cabinet in figured Spanish flame mahogany. The bow-front variegated pink marble top is above a neat mahogany fore-edge. The frieze with Neo-classical gilded bronze (ormolu) mounts and a central bow front drawer over a pair of bow front doors with foliate ormolu escutcheons opening to a shelved interior. The bow-front sides are in figured mahogany and flanked by tapering circular mahogany columns with ormolu capitals and bases over turned columns and neat turned feet.
