Circa 1880. A carved hardwood mirror. The arched top surmounted by an eagle resting on a mythical head with folding ribbon in its mouth with Latin inscription. The frame has a mixture of carving and gilded sections with the arched mirror held in place by gilded slip with egg and dart beading on the outside, and an unusual section of fish scales with continues around the entire frame, finishing at the bottom with two carved thistles with a gilded ribbon in the center.
