Description
Circa 1900, dinner gong mounted on an oak bracket, held in place by a chain. The heraldic shaped back plate leads on to a rococo style brass frame, surmounted by a ho ho bird. The monumental gong is below this, with a diameter of 54 cm and decorated with planishing. The beater has a suede colour top, and gives a wonderful sound.
