Description
Circa 1870, French kingwood cabinet. With gilded brass mounts throughout and a herringbone veneer top with broad, rosewood cross banding finished with a shaped and moulded brass foredge. The two shaped doors with brass reeding between and inlaid acanthus leaves, with rococo escutcheons, cast foliate panels and rosewood banding finishing with a pattern to the base. Inside are 2 adjustable shelves with rosewood facing, all above a shaped apron with gilded brass mounts and on French bracket feet finished with sabots.
