An early Victorian Military style camphorwood box/kist, the rectangular top with a brass plaque in the center and brass quarter-brackets, the deep lid with a flush military handle on the front opens to an uninterrupted interior, including a small candle box, the front with two heraldic shaped brass escutcheons, and brass straps on the corners and visible dovetails, the sides with a pair of cast brass lifting handles, ideal for a coffee table
