Circa 1860 and later, an unusual, stylish Victorian oil lamp recently converted to electricity, the top with a brass lamp holder on a Corinthian capital, supported on an ebonised fluted stem, resting on a stepped square brass base, re-wired with 3-core fabric-covered cable.
