Description
Circa 1800. Exceptional Dutch marquetry-inlaid kingwood and walnut display case. Surmounted by a cavetto, marquetry-inlaid cornice with a central foliate crest above the two shaped glazed doors with ormolu escutcheon opening to a shelved interior and with inlaid and glazed canted sides. The base with canted, shaped sides with marquetry inlay and two bombe front drawers with profuse marquetry inlay and bronze rococo handles and escutcheons over a convex base with a shaped skirt, supported on foliate carved short cabriole legs with carved knees and ball and claw feet. In excellent condition.
