Description

Circa 1870, rectangular maple country house posting box. With a narrow aperture to the top. for posting letters, it has a hinged top and opens to a felt-lined interior. There is a glass panel for viewing the contents and open dovetails to all sides. It has a simple moulding to the enclosed base and felt lining beneath.
