Description
Circa 1830, wonderful quality William IV freestanding side table. The top has a moulded edge above a single drawer in the apron. The drawer has two flat pilasters on each side and a foliate carving in the form of quarter blocks. At the back is a dummy drawer and similar quarter brackets. The piece is supported on two rectangular uprights which taper, getting larger towards the bottom, united by a turned cross stretcher and beneath the uprights is a platform base on four unusual bell shaped squat bun feet. The table retains its original colour and patination.
