Circa 1900. Interesting stylish tapering 4 tier walnut whatnot by ‘Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh’ with many Sir Robert Lorimer influences. The dished top with extended curved frieze supported on four tapering uprights with reeded fore-edge. The uprights support two shelves, the base with a full length drawer, the drawer facing in fine burr walnut with a classic Lorimer handle. Beneath the drawer is a shaped frieze all resting on four primitive animal feet with lead blocks beneath to give stability.
