Description
Circa 1860 Victorian Carved Oak Sarcophagus Silver Trunk or Wine Cooler. The sarcophagus-shaped lid with deep neoclassical foliate carvings. The front with a carved lion-mask with folded drapes & flanked by pilasters with further lion-masks. The sides with further neoclassical carved panels and a polished back. The interior with three removable baize-lined silver trays but could be adapted for wine bottles or storage.
