Circa 1880. Unusual Anglo-Indian ebony inlaid burr padouk oval jewellery box. The oval lid with double ebony inlay in highly figured burr veneer opening to interior with lift out jewellery tray with deeper storage beneath. The paneled front with an oval mother of pearl escutcheon and panes of burr wood. Supported on an ebonized base over four ebonized feet.
