Description
Circa 1800 with restorations. Tall, late Georgian mahogany and gilt framed wall mirror in excellent condition. Surmounted by a shaped fretted cornice with a gilded HoHo bird, the moulded two-part fluted frame with a gilt slip containing two bevel-edged mirrors. Decorative and functional. The mythical Japanese HoHo bird is said to bring luck, symbolising good fortune, longevity, fidelity, and wisdom!
