Description
Circa 1920 a Mahogany dressing table stamped ‘R S McAlpine Edinburgh’ with many ‘Whytock & Reid’ and ‘Sir Robert Lorimer’ features the shaped frame mirror mahogany held in place by 2 stylish uprights with bronze axehead drops locking the mirror in position, the flat surface with a double moulded fore-edge, the front with 2 full length drawers each with cast brass swan neck handles with pierced flower petal shaped back plates, the top right hand drawer is stamped, the shaped frieze with Whytock & Reid styling, the table rest on 4 elegant cabriole legs with foliate carving on the knees and finishing on a stylized pad foot
