Description
Circa 1880. An amboyna ebonized Aesthetic movement occasional table/ bookstand. Circular with the finest curled amboyna within a banded and scribed ebonized top with an elegant moulded edge, supported on a fluted gilded column with a brass beading towards the base. There is a revolving cruciform section with gallery supported on elegant ebonized balustrades and a brass beading to the fore-edge, beneath this the column continues with fluting and rests on an elegant inlaid and brass mounted concave platform base with further inscribed details resting on three shaped feet.
