Description
Circa 1780 Rare set of 8 (6 singles + 2 carvers) Hepplewhite style mahogany dining chairs in perfect original condition. The shield-shaped backs with pierced splats with carved patera and trailing bellflower decoration within a fluted frame. The carvers with outswept arms on shaped and fluted supports, all above the serpentine front upholstered seats. Supported on square legs with spade toes in front and out-swept rear supports, connected by H-stretchers.
