Product Description

Circa 1890. An unusual late Victorian upholstered and ebonized framed revolving occasional chair. The curved upholstered back is supported by eight ebonized and gilded spindles with a gilded and timber frame to the facings, at the bottom of the seat there is an upholstered skirt which conceals the revolving mechanism. Standing on four elegant ebonized turned gilded and tapering fluted feet, finishing with a brass and porcelain caster.
