Georgian walnut bookcase top on a later stand. The top has a stylish moulded cornice, above 2 glazed doors with raised astragals and a stylish cast brass escutcheon with engraving. Inside there are 2 adjustable shelves. Beneath the top section there is a similar moulding to that of the cornice and 2 drawers which have herringbone crossbanding and very stylish cast brass handles with swan neck handles. There is a deep shaped apron and the whole piece stands on 4 elegant cabriole legs, the front legs with carved shells on the knees, finishing on an elegant but simple feet. The cabinet is good colour and condition.
