Circa 1900 A quality pair of Scottish Art Nouveau Scottish oak chairs, the curved and pierced top rail surmounted by a pair of elegant tapering finials, the simple splat supporting shaped rails with small aperture in the base, the stuff over seat with simple seat rail, back legs are square and slightly out swept, beneath the seat rail there’s solid shaped quarter brackets, the unusual and stylish front legs, square tapering with reeding ,finishing on a bulbous toe with the legs braced by a conforming stretchers, each of the chairs has the trade label attached to the underside,’ George Lear & Son 10 Anne Street Bridgeton Glasgow’
