Description
Circa 1880. Pair of large impressive Flemish carved oak throne or hall chairs. The backs surmounted by a pair of carved lions surrounding a heraldic shield above a central splat upholstered in red leather with brass studding and fluted vertical splats and tapering turned supports. The partially upholstered arms extending forward as lion heads. The seats in studded red leather. All supported on turned and tapering legs above carved blocks with foliate decorations connected by H stretchers.
