Description
Circa 1870, classic carved wood and polychrome painted Venetian blackamoor on original stand. Holding a cornucopia in one hand, and an oar in the other, the figure stands on the bow of a decorated gondola. Beneath this is a water effect painted in turquoise and it all stands on a gilded and scumbled plinth (simulating different coloured marble).
