Description
Circa 1890. A matched pair of Qing Dynasty Hongmu carved Chinese marble topped plant stands. The pair can be split. The similar stands with petal shaped tops in pink variegated marble, one with a carved frieze and the other with a beaded fore edge each with typical Chinese pierced and shaped friezes with classic Chinese motifs. Each with an undershelf resting on four similar legs with mythical dragons on the front and foliate carvings and beadings beneath, resting on a primitive animal foot.
